Playing with MongoDB

I am currently going through the M102: MongoDB for DBAs course offered at MongoDB University.  I just started my third week of the seven week course, and so far I’m enjoying it.  It is a little frustrating at times, and there are parts of it that need to be updated, but all-in-all it’s still pretty good.

This is an actual course with assignments that are graded, and a final exam/project at the end. Each week I gain access to new video lectures and homework assignments which have to be turned in within 1 week of the release date.  The homework counts for half of your grade, and the final exam/project counts for the other half of your grade.  So far I’ve been able to get through the homework fairly easily, but I expect that to change as the course progresses.

MongoDB University courses are free, and they have several courses for developers and administrators to choose from.  They even offer both Developer and DBA certifications.  I can’t speak for any of the other courses, but so far the one I’m taking seems to be worth it.  I would definitely recommend checking them out if you are interested in MongoDB.
